So wait, I was just perusing Facebook and came across an application that I - amazingly enough - haven’t been asked to add to my profile yet. It’s the Facebook “Script Pad.”

“You’ve just took an course in medicine on the internet, and you’ve been given the almighty Prescription (”Script”) Pad. You’re licensed to kill… err… prescribe drugs. Some of your friends are depressed and manic, some are having trouble with their urine infection, and others require some much needed pain killers. What are YOU going to do, Doctor?”

“Why just poke your friends when you can medicate them? Send them an antibiotic or caffeine pills and a personalized note to tell them to ‘Get Well Soon’ or ‘Stay awake! You have a test coming up!’”

By standard Facebook measurements, this application has a paltry number of users (only 14 fans and 11 daily users), but still, it is pretty telling when we actually have Facebook applications that allow you to prescribe pills to your friends.
